Information We Don't Collect
ClimateHome does not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone)
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Device identifiers
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Any information that could identify you
How the App Works
When you enter an address to check climate risks:
- The address is sent directly to government APIs (FEMA, EPA, WA DNR)
- Results are displayed on your device
- No data is stored on our servers (we don't have servers)
- Saved addresses are stored only on your device
Third-Party Services
The app queries these official government data sources:
- U.S. Census Bureau (address geocoding)
- FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer
- EPA AirNow (air quality data)
- Washington State DNR (wildfire, earthquake, volcano data)
- Sentry (crash reporting - no personal data)
These services have their own privacy policies. We only send the address you enter; no personal information is transmitted.
Crash Reporting
We use Sentry for crash reporting to improve app stability. Crash reports contain:
- Technical information about the crash
- Device type and iOS version
- No personal information or addresses
Data Storage
Any addresses you save are stored locally on your device only. We cannot access this data. If you delete the app, this data is deleted.
Children's Privacy
ClimateHome does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date.
